Datevitation: Spreading the Love!

1 - Datevitaiton BookConfession time:  I’m officially the Valentine’s Day Grinch.  I never really thought about it.  Didn’t dwell on it.  Never harped on it.  Which is why it came as quite the surprise when Lynsey (moscatomom) pointed it out. Continue reading “Datevitation: Spreading the Love!” »

Super Bowl Recipe Roundup!

Super Bowl Recipe Collage

It may come as a shock to you, but I’m a football fan.  Actually, I’m a fanatic.  As in, my neighbors know if they hear me screaming on a Sunday around 4:30, it’s probably because a play went wrong for my beloved Denver Broncos.  With that said, you cannot imagine how excited I am for Sunday’s Super Bowl game!!!  And while I love football enough that I watch the Super Bowl every year, *this* year is a big deal.  This year, my Super Manning will lead the Broncos to a shot at another title.  And while I’ll be cheering for my favorite team, I’ll also be cooking some of my favorite recipes to snack on while we root for our teams – or laugh at the commercials, if that’s what you watch for!  So if you aren’t sure what you’re making for the big game day, you definitely want to take a look at these amazing snacks!  Without further delay, here is my Super Bowl Recipe Roundup!!! Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops – Feel Better!

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertisement, however the opinions I provide are my own.

Pine BrosI know chilly temps are enough to be irritating, but the weather has vacillated between cold and damp to freaking frigid, which is the perfect weather to be in when you want to catch a cold.  Enter my new favorite winter accessory: Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops.  They’ve become something of a staple in my house this winter.  I received a box of them, and have been doling them out almost daily to my kids and friends.  They have kept us from being miserable coughing.  The taste is mild and slightly sweet, so they’re not too “mediciney” to give to my 6 year old (what?! It’s a word!), but they still stifle the coughs and soothed our sore throats.  They’re naturally flavored, and gluten free.  They aren’t hard like cough drops, but not chewy like gummy bears either, which is also something that makes them a good choice for little ones!

While this may come as a shock to most of you, it actually gets cold in Florida.  At least the part of Florida that I live in.  And when I say cold, I’m usually being whiny and thin-skinned because it’s only 35 degrees.  And if you asked me today, that’s what I would tell you.  But this winter has been insanely cold for this far south.  As in wind chills as low as zero.  Now before you start sending me pictures of your thermometers showing negative numbers, keep in mind: This is *Florida*.  As in “The Sunshine State”.  Loosely translated: Warm.  All.  Year.  And even though we know it will be “winter” here, rarely ever is it as cold as it has been this year.  I like to refer to it as Stupid Cold.  So while this stupid cold is still lingering, I’m very happy to be stocked up on Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

What’s Your Brave?

Sky DivingToday, I want to challenge you to be brave. Is there something you want to do, but feel too afraid to try it? Ever have the urge to jump out of a plane? Let me be the first to say that I will NEVER have that urge, but I do know people who do. I actually know people who teach other people how to do it! Meanwhile, my thoughts are “What kind of stupid does someone have to be…?!?!” Continue reading “What’s Your Brave?” »

My New Pre-workout Protein Shake!

Since I’ve started this new journey toward being the best version of myself I can be, I’ve been desperate to find something that will be “breakfast”, but that won’t make me want to yack during an hour with a trainer, or in the middle of a Refit or Zumba class.  It’s been a struggle to say the least!  I am a breakfast girl – I can eat breakfast any time, day or night.  And skipping it when I’m about to get a booty-kicking workout is NOT an option.  So, a-searching I have been.  But this week, I have found my workout morning soul mate in the form of Special K’s Vanilla Cappuccino – their new protein shake!!!  This is definitely my new pre-workout protein shake!Special K Shake Review
